Florida One-Day Consultation

Dr. James Bowers, Executive Director of the Seminary's Center for Pentecostal Leadership and Care, met Thursday, April 28, with Florida pastors for orientation to the Seminary Lilly funded pastoral development project.

Dr. Donnie Smith, Administrative Bishop, Waymon Miller, Director of Ministerial Enrichment, and the Florida State Council have entered into covenant with the Center to implement the pastoral execellence project. Waymon Miller will coordinate the fifteen Pastoral Covenant Groups located throughout Florida.

The orientation meeting is a prelude to a Facilitator training retreat, group participant recruitment, and full implementation of the journey toward excellence project. Florida joins several other states as an "early adopter" of the Seminary's Covenant Pastoral Leadership Development Initiative.
