Facilitator Training in Delmarva-DC and Kentucky

Sixty-four people in Delmarva-DC and Kentucky have completed the Basic Facilitator Certification training offered by the Center for Pentecostal Leadership and Care.

On January 24, thirteen Delmarva-DC pastors participated in the basic training. Dr. Milton Carter remarks, "The Center is delighted to partner with Bishop J. Martin Taylor in this effort to revision and expand the pastoral mentoring initiative that was developed by Bishop Taylor early in his tenure in Delmarva-DC."

On January 31, fifty-one leaders from various districts in Kentucky participated in the training. Bishop J. David Stephens convened the seminar to further advance Kentucky's Pastors Covenant Teams initiative. The group included District Overseers, wives of District Overseers who are leading groups for pastors' spouses, and pastors who are serving as facilitators. Bishop Stephens continues to give high priority to his state-wide initiative to strengthen pastors and pastoral leadership in Kentucky.

Members of the Center's administrative team, Dr. James Bowers and Dr. Milton Carter, conducted the seminar sessions. The purpose of the one-day facilitator training is to provide an orientation to facilitative leadership as well as to provide training in basic facilitator competencies and skills.
