2009 National Clergy Renewal Program
Lilly Endowment has announced its 2009 National Clergy Renewal
Program. Over the next several months, up to 120 congregations will
be selected to participate in 2009.
"Pastors and congregations both benefit from this period of renewal," said
Craig Dykstra, Endowment senior vice president for religion. "They are given
a rare chance to get away from the demands of daily parish ministry and
explore 'what makes their hearts sing.' The renewal of a pastor's heart and
spirituality is part of his or her 'job description' and is essential to the spiritual
quality of a congregation's life."
Lilly Endowment invites pastors who have earned M.Div. degrees through
ATS accredited schools to apply. To learn how to take advantage of this
opportunity, visit the Lilly Endowment website for
details.
