The 2006 - 2007 Project Year Begins
The 2006-2007 project year begins this month with the training of selected
pastors for the next phase of the Center's Covenant Pastoral Leadership
Development Initiative.
States participating in facilitator training retreats in the month of July include
DelMarVa-DC, Eastern North Carolina, Great Lakes Region, Illinois,
California-Nevada, Texas, and Rocky Mountain Region. Additional states will be
involved in August.
Pastor-facilitators trained by the Center's administrative team will conduct their
own covenant-making retreats this fall, initiating a one-year developmental journey
with groups consisting of eight to twelve pastors each.
This past year approximately 450 pastors in 13 states participated in Pastoral
Covenant Groups. Through the Center's partnership with administrative bishops,
Pastoral Covenant Group expansion in 2006-2007 will involve a growing number of
states and hundreds of additional Church of God pastors.
